NOTES:
a. While she is widely seen in online sources as the wife of Alexander Carpenter, there appears to be no evidence to support this, at least none that this author has been able to locate. The currently ongoing Great Migration Project, lead by Charles Robert Anderson, under the auspices of the New England Historical Society, discusses Alexander Carpenter in some detail, but never mentions the name of his wife.
