NOTES:
a. According to Line 107[19-20] in Ancestral Roots, 7th ed., Renaud I de Nevers married Adele of France, the daughter of Robert II and Constance of Provence. Yet, in looking in the index of AR for this same individual, Adele, of same parentage, this line number is not mentioned; rather several other lines, which show her as the identical individual, stating she married [1] Richard, Duke of Normandy in 1027, and [2] Baldwin V de Lille in 1028. Thus, while she is still shown here per AR's Line 107, as daughter of Robert II, King of France, and Constance of Provence, she is not linked to that lineage page because of this seeming contradiction.

b. Her connection here is based upon several posts on soc.genealogy.medieval; Complete Peerage states that Hubert, Count of Maine, married a daughter of William, Count of Nevers, but does not mention his wife. Several posters on SGM state that her name was Ermengarde, daughter of William and Ermengarde de Tonnere, and that she was the aunt of her namesake who married Milo de Courtenay.
