According to The Complete Peerage, the Tailboys/Talboys line descends from Ivo Taillebois through his daughter Beatrice, who married firstly Eldred, and secondly, Ribald. From the former union sprang the line of William of Lancaster, and from the latter union came Ralph Taillebois (son of Ribald and Beatrice) who married Agnes de Brus, progenitor of the Tailboys/Talboys line. This author has yet to uncover the intervening generations between this Ralph and William, shown above.
b. Eleanor de Boroughdon, in right of her mother, was baroness Kyme, this honour passing through her mother Elizabeth de Umfreville, dau of Gilbert de Umfreville and Lucy de Kyme. Eleanor married Henry Tailboys, son of William Tailboys by Margaret. Eleanor's father, Gilbert de Boroughdon was Sheriff of Northumberland, 1323-24 and 1339-41.
